Through loss and love, memory is used as a way to navigate through recollections from Tokyo to Los Angeles to make sense of the extreme present.
The design of the book reinterprets the novella’s recollections through thoughtful placement and proximities of words, recreating the fictional world into a spatial experience through typographic design. This takes the reader into fleeting vignettes of feelings and spaces while enhancing the narrative and meaning of language.
